We are learning to describe. This week we are responding to picture prompts and describing what we see, hear and think is going on in the picture. We also have group learning intentions that help us with our next learning steps. Thunderbirds 3 are learning how to write using paragraphs. Here you can see the group doing an activity to identify parts of a paragraph. Great learning today Thunderbirds 3! Term2 Art work This term we will be making a piece of art work based on the art of Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Have a look at this video to find out a little bit about the artist and his life. Can you find out what Hundertwasser's name means?
Stu Duvall is a great New Zealand children's author. He writes books for Kiwi kids about kiwi experiences. My favourite books are Achtung Pavlova and Rat Island. You can find out more about Stu's books by visiting his web page. Stu Duval Stu is also a cartoon artist. Today we looked at a couple of his short videos showing how to draw animals using alphabet letters. You'll find more videos on his website. Here's one we looked at today. Enjoy Whaea Lesley
